The manufacturing veteran
OpenHas run real production, from NPI to a stable line, and can show where Moduloa's written process would break on a real floor while that is still cheap to fix.
An open invitation, not a vacancy: several people can take it at once, and it carries no number until you commit to something specific. This page says what Moduloa hopes for and where a first contribution could start.
Why Moduloa needs this
Everything Moduloa has published about the floor, from the fictional EX-100 pilot to the hub readiness scorecard, was written before any line ran, and the scorecard says its thresholds have never met a real hub. The industrialization page calls encoding process knowledge into a portable blueprint the model's hardest claim, because real factories run on tacit knowledge that resists being written down. The current Stage 0 step is 10 to 20 expert calls, with the thesis revised only if they expose a flaw, and only people who have carried that knowledge can test it.
What you would bring
- NPI and production ramps (EVT, DVT, PVT) for electromechanical or mechatronic products, lived from the inside, ideally at volume.
- Hands-on changeovers, line balancing, takt and WIP decisions, including the ones made at 03:00.
- Work inside a certified quality system (ISO 9001, IATF 16949 or ISO 13485): deviations, CAPA, 8D, control plans.
- Time at a contract manufacturer, or in production in Asia, where the people page says the deepest manufacturing knowledge sits.
- A habit of saying exactly where a process document stops matching what the floor does.
Tasks that suit you
Each has a plain test for done. Ask to commit to one: name what you will deliver and a date no more than three months after it is accepted. Several people can work on the same task, each with its own deliverable.
- C-01 Landed cost line model v0.1 · Three to four weeks · Ask to commit to C-01 →
- C-03 Subscription formula v0.1 · Three to four weeks · Ask to commit to C-03 →
- J-03 Blueprint transfer protocol · Two to three weeks · Ask to commit to J-03 →
- F-02 EX-100 open dataset · Two to three weeks · Ask to commit to F-02 →
- W-01 Be one of the expert calls · Under a week · Ask to commit to W-01 →
Other first deliverables
Each is specific enough that by its date anyone can tell whether it was delivered. Some are a task above in a smaller form. Name one, or a better one.
- One of the 10 to 20 Stage 0 expert calls, built on the contact map's question of where the thesis falls apart, with your corrections written up as a dated note you check before it is published, credited to you or anonymous.
- A marked-up reading of the hub readiness scorecard against a plant you know: which of its fifteen criteria are wrong, missing or mis-weighted, published as a correction toward v0.3.
- A red-team of the fictional EX-100 pilot on the industrialization page: whether thirty units, two fixture revisions and one guaranteed pilot would survive a real PVT, and what a real one would have caught.
What this is, and is not
Not a job, a consultancy engagement or an endorsement: disagreement on the record counts as delivery. On its own a seat carries no pay, no equity and no supplier position, and any paid work is agreed separately.
When your commitment is accepted, it shows on the task and on your seat card, and a first commitment takes the next permanent number on the register, with your name, a link and your date. When the work is delivered in the open you are aboard and a certificate is issued. Nothing is paid for a seat and none is for sale: on its own a seat carries no equity and no supplier position, and any paid work is agreed separately, on its own terms. The entry stays either way: a commitment not delivered by its date is marked lapsed and dated, never removed.
Pick a task that suits you and ask to commit to it, or name your own first deliverable: what you will deliver and a date no more than three months after it is accepted. Write to shk@moduloa.com, or use the link on any task, which opens the contact page with the subject filled in. It does not have to be large. It has to be specific enough that anyone can tell by its date whether it was delivered.
