The patient capital

Open

Investors who would back the standards, certification and routing that let a product move between factories, rather than a factory. First ask: a written verdict on whether that is financeable.

An open invitation, not a vacancy: several people can take it at once, and it carries no number until you commit to something specific. This page says what Moduloa hopes for and where a first contribution could start.

Why it matters

Why Moduloa needs this

Thesis section 10 says a factory-only business is capital-heavy and may not become venture-scale, so the value Moduloa means to own is the framework that lets a validated product run at any certified hub: tiers, standards, certification and routing. The plan is one hub to learn from, then existing factories converted rather than new ones built, and since the founder's decision of 2026-10-04 Moduloa would add no margin to the unit and earn on a capacity subscription and on fees the factories pay. Money that needs the first factory to pay it back would pull Moduloa into being that factory, and capital intensity is one of the four failure modes the register declared on 2026-07-10.

What we hope for

What you would bring

  • Underwriting experience in industrial or hard-tech companies where standards and software came years before revenue, and a clear view of what made them financeable or not.
  • A view, from deals you have seen, on whether a certification or routing fee keeps its pricing power or slides to a services margin: take rates, cold start, multi-homing.
  • Knowledge of how ventures that are part equipment and part platform get funded in Europe, including public programs such as Innovation Norway and the EIC Accelerator, which parts of them are non-dilutive, and which would actually fit this.
  • Comfort with an open book: the economics are published, the terms are frozen, and the register scores Moduloa's own claims about hubs and the network (P-23 to P-25) in public.
  • Time for a second read later, once the Stage 0 funding logic and investor thesis v0.5 are drafted.
On the task board

Tasks that suit you

Each has a plain test for done. Ask to commit to one: name what you will deliver and a date no more than three months after it is accepted. Several people can work on the same task, each with its own deliverable.

Or your own

Other first deliverables

Each is specific enough that by its date anyone can tell whether it was delivered. Some are a task above in a smaller form. Name one, or a better one.

  1. A one-page written answer to the question the contact map puts to investors: what single piece of Stage 0 evidence would move this from interesting thesis to financeable company, and what would make you write it off. Published under your name or anonymized.
  2. A written verdict on how Moduloa would earn after the decision of 2026-10-04 (no margin on the unit, a capacity subscription paid by customers, fees paid by factories), naming which could hold venture-scale pricing power and which would be a services business, set against the revenue streams in thesis section 10.
  3. A first outline for the Stage 0 funding logic task: the stages ahead, what each must prove, which kind of money fits each, dilutive or not, and whether one company can carry both factory patience and platform patience, a question the contact map leaves open.
The terms

What this is, and is not

What this is not

Not a funding round and not an offer of shares: thesis section 16 says the goal of Stage 0 is not immediate fundraising, and Moduloa is not raising now. A seat cannot be bought, only earned by delivering work like the above; on its own it carries no equity, and any investment later would be agreed separately, on its own terms.

What you get

When your commitment is accepted, it shows on the task and on your seat card, and a first commitment takes the next permanent number on the register, with your name, a link and your date. When the work is delivered in the open you are aboard and a certificate is issued. Nothing is paid for a seat and none is for sale: on its own a seat carries no equity and no supplier position, and any paid work is agreed separately, on its own terms. The entry stays either way: a commitment not delivered by its date is marked lapsed and dated, never removed.

How to start

Pick a task that suits you and ask to commit to it, or name your own first deliverable: what you will deliver and a date no more than three months after it is accepted. Write to shk@moduloa.com, or use the link on any task, which opens the contact page with the subject filled in. It does not have to be large. It has to be specific enough that anyone can tell by its date whether it was delivered.
