The supplier auditor
OpenAn experienced supplier auditor who designs how a supplier earns Moduloa qualification, keeps it and loses it, so one qualification can serve every customer's product.
An open invitation, not a vacancy: several people can take it at once, and it carries no number until you commit to something specific. This page says what Moduloa hopes for and where a first contribution could start.
Why Moduloa needs this
Verification is not certification: the intake standard confirms that a named supplier exists and attests price, revision and lead time, but it lets an unconfirmed line through as an estimate and says nothing about the supplier's own process. The network the intake page points to only works if qualification is earned once, against a published standard, and can be lost. There is also a design conflict to solve: the intake refuses to look inside a handover part, to protect supplier IP, while traceability to the material certificate needs evidence from below it.
What you would bring
- Supplier audits and qualification under ISO 9001, IATF 16949 or ISO 13485, including PPAP or first-article inspection.
- Material traceability in practice: EN 10204 3.1 certificates, certificates of conformity, lot genealogy, and how often they are wrong.
- A clear view of what document and data evidence can replace a site visit, and what it cannot.
- Experience of suppliers losing approval: surveillance, corrective action, 8D, and the point where a buyer walks away.
- A sense of cost: what an audit regime adds to a small shop's price, since it ends up in the BOM.
Tasks that suit you
Each has a plain test for done. Ask to commit to one: name what you will deliver and a date no more than three months after it is accepted. Several people can work on the same task, each with its own deliverable.
- Q-01 Qualification standard v0.1, an outline · Four to six weeks · Ask to commit to Q-01 →
- Q-02 Audit checklist · Two to three weeks · Ask to commit to Q-02 →
- Q-03 Supplier record schema · One to two weeks · Ask to commit to Q-03 →
Other first deliverables
Each is specific enough that by its date anyone can tell whether it was delivered. Some are a task above in a smaller form. Name one, or a better one.
- A supplier qualification standard v0.1 outline, published as a draft for review: entry evidence by process class (machining, molding, PCBA, harness), surveillance, and how status is lost and regained.
- A written proposal for the conflict described above: how sub-tier evidence such as a material certificate reaches the unit record without the supplier's internal BOM entering the intake file.
- The draft applied to one supplier you have audited before, anonymized: which evidence carries over from their ISO certificate and which would be new.
What this is, and is not
Not an audit contract or an accreditation body: Moduloa qualification would sit on top of the ISO certificates accredited bodies issue, never replace them, and no supplier has been qualified by Moduloa yet. On its own a seat carries no pay, no equity and no supplier position, and any paid work is agreed separately.
When your commitment is accepted, it shows on the task and on your seat card, and a first commitment takes the next permanent number on the register, with your name, a link and your date. When the work is delivered in the open you are aboard and a certificate is issued. Nothing is paid for a seat and none is for sale: on its own a seat carries no equity and no supplier position, and any paid work is agreed separately, on its own terms. The entry stays either way: a commitment not delivered by its date is marked lapsed and dated, never removed.
Pick a task that suits you and ask to commit to it, or name your own first deliverable: what you will deliver and a date no more than three months after it is accepted. Write to shk@moduloa.com, or use the link on any task, which opens the contact page with the subject filled in. It does not have to be large. It has to be specific enough that anyone can tell by its date whether it was delivered.
