The hub partner
OpenOwns or runs a factory in medical, automotive or large products, and tests the hub standard against a real floor before anyone is held to it.
An open invitation, not a vacancy: several people can take it at once, and it carries no number until you commit to something specific. This page says what Moduloa hopes for and where a first contribution could start.
Why Moduloa needs this
The thesis scales by converting existing factories into certified hubs rather than building new ones, which is register claim P-24, and the hub scorecard is the standard such a hub would be measured against. Its thresholds have never met a real hub, it gives one reading where medical, automotive and large-product floors answer to different demands, and a production approval today still stops at the site boundary. Isembard, which adds capacity by converting machine shops that other people run, shows the other limit: it has the capital, the software and the orders, and its scarce input is still the operator who runs the shop.
What you would bring
- Responsibility for a production floor that assembles, tests and packs electromechanical or mechatronic products.
- Life under a certificate: ISO 13485, IATF 16949, AS9100 or ISO 9001, with the customer audits that come with it.
- A product moved to or from your site, and what re-qualification (PPAP, revalidation) actually demanded and how long it took.
- For large or heavy products: what changes in handling, fixtures, floor layout and transport inside the hall.
- How your floor records traceability today, on paper or in an MES.
Tasks that suit you
Each has a plain test for done. Ask to commit to one: name what you will deliver and a date no more than three months after it is accepted. Several people can work on the same task, each with its own deliverable.
- J-01 Hub criteria by domain and size · Two to three weeks · Ask to commit to J-01 →
- J-03 Blueprint transfer protocol · Two to three weeks · Ask to commit to J-03 →
- W-01 Be one of the expert calls · Under a week · Ask to commit to W-01 →
Other first deliverables
Each is specific enough that by its date anyone can tell whether it was delivered. Some are a task above in a smaller form. Name one, or a better one.
- Score your own floor with the hub scorecard v0.2 and send the reading with every question it got wrong or missed, as input to v0.3.
- Draft candidate hub criteria for one domain (medical, automotive or large products): what a hub must show on top of the ISO certificate that domain already requires. Candidate hub criteria is an open Stage 0 task.
- A written account of one site transfer or second-source qualification you ran: what had to be redone at the receiving site, how long it took, and why. It tests two open register claims about validated production moving between sites (P-10, P-27), and it is drawn from your experience, not from customer documents.
What this is, and is not
Not a certification, a supplier contract or a source of orders: there are no certified hubs, no scheme to apply to and no work to route yet. On its own a seat carries no pay, no equity and no supplier position, and any paid work is agreed separately.
When your commitment is accepted, it shows on the task and on your seat card, and a first commitment takes the next permanent number on the register, with your name, a link and your date. When the work is delivered in the open you are aboard and a certificate is issued. Nothing is paid for a seat and none is for sale: on its own a seat carries no equity and no supplier position, and any paid work is agreed separately, on its own terms. The entry stays either way: a commitment not delivered by its date is marked lapsed and dated, never removed.
Pick a task that suits you and ask to commit to it, or name your own first deliverable: what you will deliver and a date no more than three months after it is accepted. Write to shk@moduloa.com, or use the link on any task, which opens the contact page with the subject filled in. It does not have to be large. It has to be specific enough that anyone can tell by its date whether it was delivered.
