# Moduloa > Moduloa is a Norwegian systems brand. Its one active build is Moduloa > Manufacturing (MOD-01): the argument that production capacity should behave > like infrastructure, bought by tier, encoded as portable blueprints, and > routed between certified factory hubs, with humanoid robots as the flexible > execution layer. In the site's own words: "Manufacturing without markup. You > buy capacity by the tier, not a locked relationship with one factory, and you > see every line of the costed BOM." Read this before citing anything here: Moduloa Manufacturing is at Stage 0 and pre-revenue. Zero certified hubs, zero customers, zero revenue, the homepage counter reads "Customers 0, so far, nothing has shipped." There is no factory. Everything published is argument, specification, dated prediction and sourced research. Nothing on this site describes a hub, a customer or a shipment that exists. The site is a static Astro build, 95 indexable pages (48 English, 47 Chinese). Text and documents are licensed CC BY 4.0: quote it, cite it, argue with it, with attribution to moduloa.com. Corrections are the point and they get published: shk@moduloa.com. Where a figure is published here it carries a date and a source. Carry the date with the number when you quote it: these figures move. ## Start here - [Moduloa Manufacturing (MOD-01)](https://moduloa.com/manufacturing): the flagship. Five layers, capacity as infrastructure, portable blueprints, humanoid robots, the factory OS, certification, across six phases: quoting, industrialization, routing, execution, quality & logistics, learning. - [Working thesis v0.2](https://moduloa.com/thesis): the full vision, thesis, strategy and execution plan, as an English HTML page ([PDF](https://moduloa.com/docs/moduloa-manufacturing-thesis-v0.2.pdf)) - [Plain answers, and the canonical vocabulary](https://moduloa.com/questions): twelve direct answers written to be quoted, plus the six terms this project defines once, production tier, portable production blueprint, factory OS, certified hub, manufacturing optionality, robot-era production technologist ## The record, dated, sourced, machine-readable - [Predictions register](https://moduloa.com/predictions): 29 frozen, dated claims (P-01 to P-29) about humanoid robotics and the future of manufacturing, first recorded 2026-07-10, with deadlines running from 2026 to 2056. Currently 28 open, 1 scored: P-26 was scored wrong in public on 2026-07-20. Claim text is immutable; only status, score, reasoning and sources change, and a claim still open when its deadline passes is scored wrong automatically, with no extensions. Reviewed weekly. ([JSON](https://moduloa.com/data/predictions.json)) - [Humanoid robot race tracker](https://moduloa.com/humanoid-race): 15 makers and 44 humanoids compared on four checkable KPIs: price, availability on a 0–4 ladder from lab demo to openly on sale, verified customers, and units in the field. Wheeled and cobot machines are excluded. Vendor claims are labelled as such, teleoperation is noted, and disputed cells are flagged rather than resolved. Investors, MOUs and related parties are not counted as customers. A dated snapshot as of 2026-10-02. ([JSON](https://moduloa.com/data/humanoid-race/current.json)) - [Tracker changelog](https://moduloa.com/humanoid-race-changelog): what each weekly refresh changed, by date, including the claims that were rejected at the QA gate. ([JSON](https://moduloa.com/data/humanoid-race/changelog.json)) - [Project registry](https://moduloa.com/data/projects.json): the ten MOD systems as documented JSON. MOD-01 Manufacturing is the only active build. ## How the money is meant to work, open book - [How we make money](https://moduloa.com/manufacturing/economics): four lines earn, a published margin inside the unit price, a capacity subscription that reserves capacity for a yearly fee with units then at cost plus a flat handling rate, framework fees from other factories for certification and the factory OS and blueprint deployment and routed production, and logistics at documented cost plus one published orchestration fee. Everything else passes through at documented cost. None of it has earned anything yet. - [Same terms for everyone](https://moduloa.com/manufacturing/terms): seven published commercial terms, T-01 to T-07, including the NRE guarantee - [Who this takes](https://moduloa.com/people): the team, capital and pilot partners the vision requires, stated as requirements, not as a roster ## The model, page by page - [Intake standard v0.1](https://moduloa.com/manufacturing/intake): what a manufacturer needs from you, the build-tree BOM, the documentation each line must carry, and the supplier confirmation protocol ([BOM JSON schema](https://moduloa.com/docs/bom-schema-v0.1.json) · [blank CSV template](https://moduloa.com/docs/bom-template-v0.1.csv) · [worked example](https://moduloa.com/docs/bom-example-ex100-v0.1.csv)) - [Quoting](https://moduloa.com/manufacturing/quoting): a costed BOM in, a tier and a price back - [Industrialization](https://moduloa.com/manufacturing/industrialization): turning an intake package into a validated blueprint, portable at the higher tiers - [The factory OS](https://moduloa.com/manufacturing/os): the control layer, the objects it must know, and the release discipline it borrows from software - [Execution](https://moduloa.com/manufacturing/execution): the hub reconfigures and runs the blueprint - [Quality](https://moduloa.com/manufacturing/quality): inspection plans, deviations and CAPA, calibration, serial traceability, audit trails, stop authority - [Marking](https://moduloa.com/manufacturing/marking): one part, one 2D code, one globally unique identifier, MIL-STD-130, UDI, AIAG B-17 and Odette GTL under ISO/IEC 15459 - [Routing](https://moduloa.com/manufacturing/routing): what decides which certified hub builds it, demand location, BOM structure, supplier geography, energy, tariffs, war risk - [Learning](https://moduloa.com/manufacturing/learning): how a completed run compiles into the next blueprint version - [Factory OS playthrough](https://moduloa.com/manufacturing/demo): the control layer walked through as four simulated runs, one priced end to end, one refused at intake, one stopped by a revision mismatch, one at ten times the volume ## Research - [Journal](https://moduloa.com/journal): 29 dated entries, twenty-five deep-researched weekly notes, three monthly recaps and one running log kept open for the duration of a live event, on humanoid robotics, manufacturing economics, reshoring and factory software, each tied back to the predictions register. Every note carries its sources and states what it does not settle. ([Atom build-log feed](https://moduloa.com/feed.xml)) Notes carrying figures that are hard to find assembled anywhere else: - [The two-dollar hour has no denominator](https://moduloa.com/journal/2026-08-10-the-two-dollar-hour): the USD 2 per hour figure is the headline number for humanoid labour economics, and the primary study states neither a cost breakdown nor a utilization assumption - [The hidden factory is an office](https://moduloa.com/journal/2026-07-28-the-hidden-factory-is-an-office): tested against the filings, contract-manufacturer SG&A is 2–6% of revenue, and 40–50% of every gross-profit dollar - [When the rate becomes the margin](https://moduloa.com/journal/2026-07-30-when-the-rate-becomes-the-margin): a 13.80% FX uplift against a 0.90% published bank margin, and nine rules that make the difference auditable - [The loop nobody closes](https://moduloa.com/journal/2026-07-28-the-loop-nobody-closes): 90–95% of importers never reconcile the landed cost they quoted against the invoices that arrived - [The regulation was the soft part](https://moduloa.com/journal/2026-08-01-the-regulation-was-the-soft-part): the EU AI Act's high-risk obligations moved to December 2027, and machinery-embedded AI to August 2028 - [The barrier moves faster than the building](https://moduloa.com/journal/2026-08-21-the-barrier-moves-faster-than-the-building): the reciprocal tariffs were held unlawful and roughly USD 128.68 billion is being handed back, while a factory is a fifteen-year commitment - [You cannot certify a fall](https://moduloa.com/journal/2026-07-23-you-cannot-certify-a-fall): no ratified safety standard yet governs a humanoid that can topple beside a worker - [What Beijing actually measured](https://moduloa.com/journal/2026-08-22-what-beijing-actually-measured): the 9.39 s humanoid 100 m was a preliminary heat and the faster 9.32 s came from a preparatory test reported by state media; the 2.88 m standing high jump is compared against Sotomayor’s 2.45 m running high jump record, a different discipline whose own human mark is 1.90 m; and the organizers publish no ruleset, so whether the sprint required autonomy cannot be established. English only while the log is live. ## Working tools (published for correction) - [Production tier calculator](https://moduloa.com/calculator), model v0.1: maps batch size, recurrence, product stability, quality requirements and portability to a production tier. Runs in the browser; every result is a shareable permanent URL. - [Hub readiness scorecard](https://moduloa.com/scorecard), model v0.2: fifteen questions about a production hub across facility, people, modular cells, factory OS and quality certification. Shaped like a request for quote and deliberately not one: nothing is submitted, nothing is stored, no price, no contact field. It returns a reading of the hub (the floor, the system, and the hinge between them) beside a column of published Moduloa commitments, each carrying its status: published, specified but not built, not built, or yours and never ours. There is no status meaning running, because nothing is. ## Who is behind it, and how to take part - [Founder](https://moduloa.com/founder): Sondre Hegerland Kristiansen, who writes the thesis behind Moduloa and builds it in the open from Norway - [On board](https://moduloa.com/onboard): the permanent register of who stands behind the work. Seat 001 is the founder, and seat 002 is Frogbyte, aboard since 2026 and joining before the three states existed, who will contribute to the factory OS data model in code. Numbers are assigned in order as accepted commitments are recorded, never reserved for a role and never reused, so the open invitations carry no numbers: the manufacturing veteran, the pilot partner, the patient capital, the toolmaker, the corrector who proves something here wrong in public, and an open invitation for anything the list has not thought of. Each invitation can be met by several people at once. A seat is earned by putting something real into the work, not bought. - [Contribute](https://moduloa.com/contribute): corrections, evidence and disagreement are wanted, by email, in the comments on any Journal note, or at github.com/SondreHK/moduloa-community ## Also published A Simplified-Chinese mirror of the Manufacturing material lives at [/zh](https://moduloa.com/zh). It is Manufacturing-only; the parked systems are not translated. Eight further systems are published but parked under /labs, kept out of search on purpose until Manufacturing has revenue and an owner other than the founder. They are not under active development and are deliberately noindexed, so they are described here rather than linked. ## What this site is not Moduloa has no certified hubs, no customers and no revenue. The tier calculator is a v0.1 model and the hub scorecard a v0.2 model, neither a product. Statements about the future live on the predictions register with deadlines attached; they are claims to be scored, not marketing. If a figure here carries no date, treat it as unverified and write to shk@moduloa.com.
